【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestwoalternativemethodsfordeterminingthefoggingcharacteristicsofleathersusedinthepassengercompartmentsofmotorvehicles,namelyMethodAandMethodB.ThesearetwodifferenttestprocedurestomeasurethevolatilecomponentsandthereisnomathematicalcorrelationbetweentheresultsobtainedwithMethodAandthosewithMethodB.MethodAdeterminesbyreflectionthelightscatteringproperties(oropaqueness)andthenatureofthefilmordropletformationfromvolatilecomponentscondensedonacoldglasssurface.MethodBmeasuresgravimetricallythequantityofvolatilecomponentscondensedonacoldaluminiumfoilsurface.AnnexAgivestheresultsofinter-laboratorytrialwhichshowthatMethodBperformswell,whereasMethodAshowedalargevariationinthepercentagereflection.Thetestconditionsallowthetwoteststobecarriedoutinsuccession.
