【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverspolyethylene(PE)pipemadeinthermoplasticpipedimensionratiosbasedonoutsidediameterandpressureratedforwater(seeAppendixX1).IncludedarecriteriaforclassifyingPEplasticpipematerialsandPEplasticpipe,asystemofnomenclatureforPEplasticpipe,andrequirementsandtestmethodsformaterials,workmanship,dimensions,sustainedpressure,burstpressure,andenvironmentalstresscracking.Methodsofmarkingarealsogiven.Allpipesproducedunderthisspecificationmaybeusedforthetransportofwater,industrialprocessliquids,effluents,slurries,municipalsewage,etc.Theusershouldconsultthemanufacturertodeterminewhetherthematerialbeingtransportediscompatiblewithpolyethylenepipeandwillnotaffecttheservicelifebeyondlimitsacceptabletotheuser.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
